D'Oyleys Farm

The farmer

D’Oyleys Farm has been farmed by the White family for three generations, and we've always seen ourselves as stewards of the land first and foremost. As a regenerative farm we focus as much on soil health and the biodiversity of plants and wildlife on the farm as we do on the high quality meat we produce. The better the soil, the more CO2 it removes from the atmosphere, the more nutritious crops it sends up, and the richer diet our animals get to eat

The animals

Sheep are texel Lleyn cross and spend their lives grazing on our meadows and herbal leys. These fields are planted with a diverse mix of legumes and herbs that provide nutrient-dense food for our grazing animals. The clover, sainfoin and lucerne are deep-rooting legumes that lock nitrogen into the soil without the need for artificial fertiliser. . The sheep are happy and reared on a 100% pasture fed diet including timothy, meadow grass and cocksfoot.

The Land

D’Oyleys Farm is set in South Oxfordshire along the River Thame. We are embracing regenerative farming practices, starting by improving the health of the soil, increasing biodiversity and reducing our carbon footprint below net zero. This approach goes beyond sustainable, aiming to make a positive impact and to hand over the farm and land in a better state to future generations.
