Pork ribs, spare ribs, baby back ribs, whatever you call them, our organic pork ribs certainly aren’t a cut for knives and forks, get hands on! Pork ribs come from the middle of pig, created by taking pork belly off of the bone, and voila, you’re left with this delicious cut. Underrated, relatively cheap, and a bit fiddly, but worth it. Slow cook either in a sheet or cut down in to individual ribs with your favourite marinade then finish over a high heat to add a little char. Nibble at the flesh between each rib - it’s one of the most flavoursome bits of meat we can think of.
We source our pork as carefully as we source all of our meats, in that we find animals that have had a natural life where possible also performing vital land management roles such as forest clearing.
Organic is the only standard which offers not only higher animal welfare standards, but also environmental benefits in terms of waste management, residue, pesticides and fertilisers. The Organic standard also guarantees that no GMOs have been used in the feed.
The terms ‘free range’ and ‘outdoor reared’ do not have clear legal definitions and do not necessarily meet our requirements.
We visit every farm we source from to ensure that the highest possible standards of welfare are used throughout the entire life of the animal.

We will always aim to deliver your order within the delivery slot requested by you at the time you place your order.
If nobody is available at the primary delivery address (nominated by you at the time you place your order) to take delivery of the order, we will leave notification of the delivery instead either to the secondary delivery address or secure place (nominated by you at the time you place your order).
Our deliveries are made with “no signature required”. In the event that nobody is available to take delivery of your order at either your primary or secondary delivery address or you ask us to leave your goods unattended at a secure place, The Ethical Butcher expressly disclaims all liability that may arise in consequence of the delivery being left unattended, including, without limitation, theft, tampering or contamination, however caused.
If your delivery is refused or not accepted at a recipients address, we can not take responsibility for this and can not offer a free replacement.
We do not ship produce internationally. We only ship to the UK and certain postcodes might not be available. Currently we do not ship to the following UK post codes. This is subject to change. It is the buyers responsibility to be aware of these limitations as no refund will be offered for orders placed to these postcodes.
Events outside our control, for example, extreme weather conditions, may occasionally mean we are unable to deliver your goods at the time agreed. In these circumstances, we will contact you as early as possible to rearrange the delivery time. In such an event, our liability to you shall be limited to the price of the goods ordered and the cost of delivery.
Our Christmas delivery availability and prices are subject to change in the run up to Christmas. All changes will be reflected in the checkout process.
During December, we are unable to change delivery dates on orders placed.
From time to time delivery may take an addition day due to seasonal variations or volume. If you are ordering for a gift or a dinner party we advise to always allow an extra 24 hours. Your meat will stay chilled in our packaging - which allows meat to be in transit for 48 hours.
Our free standard delivery is applied to your order when you have more than £85 worth of full price items in your bag. You can have both sale or promoted and full price items in your bag but the full price items must total £85 or more.
There is no minimum order value but we charge a flat rate of £10 for all orders below £85 in value.
